This Privacy Policy describes how HockeyApps (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information within the HockeyApps mobile applications and web applications (the “App”).

1. Information We Collect

The App is designed to operate without requiring users to create accounts or provide personal information directly to HockeyApps.

We do not collect, store, or transmit personal information such as player names, photos, emails, or identifying details to our servers.

Any data you enter into the App—including team names, rosters, lineups, and logos—is stored locally on your device unless you choose to manually export, share, or back up your information.

2. Use of Analytics and Advertising Services

The App uses the Meta (Facebook) SDK for analytics and advertising measurement purposes.

This integration may automatically collect certain device-level and usage information, including:

  • Device type
  • Operating system version
  • App version
  • Anonymous identifiers (such as Apple’s Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA), if permission is granted)
  • App install events
  • In-app usage events

This information is used solely to:

  • Measure app installs
  • Improve advertising performance
  • Understand app usage trends
  • Optimize marketing campaigns

HockeyApps does not receive personally identifiable information from Meta.

3. App Tracking Transparency (iOS)

On iOS devices, the App may request permission to track activity across other companies’ apps and websites in order to measure advertising effectiveness.

You may choose to:

  • Allow tracking
  • Ask the app not to track

Your choice will not affect the core functionality of the App.

4. Local Storage

The App may store information locally using technologies such as:

  • Local storage
  • IndexedDB
  • Files stored on your device

This information remains on your device unless you explicitly export or share it.

5. Camera & Image Access

If you choose to upload a team logo or image:

  • The App only accesses photos you explicitly select
  • Images are stored and processed locally
  • No images are transmitted to HockeyApps

6. In-App Purchases

The App may offer paid features or subscriptions through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

Purchase processing and payment information are handled entirely by Apple or Google. HockeyApps does not have access to your payment information.

7. Sharing & Exporting

If you choose to export a PDF, share a lineup, or email data, the App uses your device’s native sharing functionality.

HockeyApps does not collect, access, or monitor shared content.

8. Children’s Privacy

The App may be used by youth sports coaches, parents, and players.

The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.
