Practice Planner inside Hockey Lineup Manager helps coaches prepare sessions with a timeline, durations, and teaching notes. My Drills stores reusable references, while Hockey Whiteboard provides saved diagrams. These tools belong to the native iPhone and iPad app—not a free browser/PWA planner.
Build the session around a teaching goal
Choose the skill or decision the session should develop. Add practice segments with realistic durations and short cues, then include time for explanations, setup, and transitions. The planning tool organizes the reference; coaches choose appropriate activities and supervision for their players.
Keep reusable drills and media together
My Drills supports saved references such as videos, links, photos, and Whiteboard diagrams. Add your own purpose, equipment needs, and teaching cues so a reference is usable by another coach. An external video link still depends on the original provider’s access and permission requirements.
Use a diagram when it explains the setup
Draw starting positions, player routes, passing or shooting lines, and equipment on Hockey Whiteboard. Save the board for reuse or share an image. Add the relevant saved diagram to a practice drill rather than recreating the same arrangement in several places.
Share the output assistants actually need
Export the practice plan as a PDF or use supported drill-sharing options. Check the final output before sending: a PDF, diagram image, video attachment, and external link are different kinds of reference. Do not assume every sharing method bundles all of the underlying media or makes it available offline.
Can I save and reuse a plan?
Yes. Save and reopen practice plans, and use saved drill references when building another session. Review the goal, timing, and attendance before reusing a plan unchanged.
Is Practice Planner free with no subscription?
The app is free to download and Scoresheet Stickers are free. Some advanced coaching tools require Pro. Review current in-app access and purchase options; old “free PWA” descriptions do not describe the current product.
Can I use someone else’s drill video?
Use references according to the owner’s permissions and the provider’s terms. Saving a link does not transfer ownership or imply permission to redistribute a video file.
