What is HockeyApps?
HockeyApps is the home of four separate iPhone and iPad apps: Hockey Lineup Manager, Youth Soccer Lineup Rotation, HVAC Startup Checklist, and HVAC Service Manager. Each app has its own download and purchase options.
Are Practice Planner and Cross-Ice separate apps?
No. Scoresheet Stickers, Lineup Manager, Cross-Ice Rotation, Practice Planner, My Drills, Hockey Whiteboard, and Season Stats are tools inside Hockey Lineup Manager.
Is Hockey Lineup Manager free?
The app is free to download, and Scoresheet Stickers do not require Pro. Some advanced coaching tools require Pro. Check the current App Store and in-app purchase screen; a free download does not mean every feature is free.
Can I print free hockey scoresheet stickers?
Yes. Create labels in Hockey Lineup Manager and export the PDF for Avery 8163-compatible stock. Physical label sheets and printing supplies are separate. See the printing guide.
Is the current hockey product a PWA?
The current product described here is the native iPhone and iPad app from the App Store. Old “install from your browser” instructions do not describe this version.
Do exported PDFs update when I edit the app?
No. A shared export is a snapshot. Generate and send a new copy after making changes. Sharing a file is not the same as live synchronization between coaches or technicians.
Can I rely on every video link at the rink?
No. External content can require a connection, an account, or permission and can change or become unavailable. Keep the essential coaching explanation in your plan and test references before the session.
Will soccer rotations guarantee equal playing time?
The app helps coaches organize substitutions and review opportunities. Actual participation depends on the setup, player availability, game circumstances, and staff decisions. Follow your program’s expectations.
Which HVAC app should I choose?
Choose Startup Checklist for equipment startup documentation and report PDFs. Choose Service Manager for operational tracking such as calls, parts, quotes, maintenance contracts, and schedules. Neither replaces qualified technical judgment or your company’s required processes.
Does Service Manager synchronize with QuickBooks?
It can import customer records from a compatible QuickBooks CSV export. This is not a promise of live accounting synchronization. It is not accounting or invoicing software.
What should I do before changing devices?
Check the app’s current backup/export options and verify an independent copy of important records before replacing a device or removing an app. Do not assume a PDF contains all editable data or that every app offers automatic cloud sync.
How do I get help?
Visit support or email coach@hockeyapps.com with the app name, device, app version, and steps that led to the problem. Never send your Apple Account password.
